WHY ATTEND A WALK

What is Healing Through Hiking?

Sometimes the simplest things can be the most powerful for healing, like stepping outside, breathing in fresh air, and being surrounded by nature. That is why I created Healing Through Hiking, a monthly free walk in the stunning Peak District for women to reconnect with themselves, each other, and the restorative power of nature.

This is the same walk I used to take when I was struggling, a place where I felt safe to just be and remembered what it felt like to relax in my body. My hope is that other women can experience the same sense of calm, connection, and freedom.

Healing Through Hiking began in April 2024 as a support group for women affected by narcissistic abusive relationships. I wanted to create a space where you can feel seen, supported, and free, without judgment or advice, and simply take time to reconnect with yourself, nature, and others who truly understand.

A space to be, breathe, and return to your truest self while surrounded by the beauty of the Peak District.

These walks are more than just a hike—they’re an opportunity to find stillness, share your journey, and support one another. Whether you’re healing from the wounds of narcissistic abuse or just looking for a peaceful space to recharge, these hikes provide a nurturing environment where you can feel safe and supported.

A Supportive Community

These walks are for women who understand what you’ve gone through or are currently experiencing. You’ll be walking alongside others who share similar stories, offering empathy, support, and encouragement.

Nature has an incredible ability to soothe the soul and bring clarity. Walking in the fresh air and beautiful landscapes allows you to find stillness, regain your sense of self, and reconnect with your heart.
